Multi-Track Recording being the most common. From Tracking to Mixing an integrated system of Analogue and Digital technology is used to capture and preserve the performance.Snake Oil Recording enjoys a selection of excellent gear both Vintage and Modern for the process.
Mastering is always available, as well as, Music Production to tailor and help craft your vision.
Voice Over can make a home here and Full CD/DVD duplication is available for custom short run, quick turn packages.
E-Sessions
E-Sessions involve FTP transfer to us for additional work. Drum Tracking for example. Sometimes triggered or looped drums just do not get you where you need to be working from your home studio.
WithE-Sessions you send us your track(s) to cut live drums (for example) in a great room. Some of the best players around the Richmond area have signed on to do E-Sessions here. Once the tracks are cut we send the raw or processed files back to you for mixing.
Re-amping is another service Snake Oil Recording offers. We have a nice collection of vintage and modern amps and effects that will bring a whole new perspective to your project. Looking for the sound of a 76 Marshall for your guitar tracks? How about a Peavey 5150? Vox AC30 or 77 Deluxe reverb? Put these together with an excellent microhone/preamp selection and room. You get the picture. Take a look at the Equipment page for a list of available gear.
You can always have us Mix it too. Bass, Guitar, Vocals, Percussion all can be cut live for your project through E-Sessions. Full song production is available as well. A singer/songwriter can take advantage of a full band performing their song with E-Sessions.
